Grading Formula
Memorandum For Cadets and Cadets' Parents
A. Academics- 20%
- Exams, quizzes, graded class work, homework.
B. Leader's Duty Performance- 20%
- Corporals and above are evaluated on what they do and how they perform their stated and implied leadership tasks. This includes leaders' responsibility for planning, organizing, coordinating and supervising missions, activities, and tasks; the quality of training provided to subordinates during class and after school; a leader's attitude and commitment to fulfilling one's duty and seeking greater responsibilities; and setting the example at all times throughout the school day.
C. Participation- 20%
- This grade is for JROTC team members and those cadets whose voluntary involvement helps JROTC accomplish program activities outline in CCR 145-2.
D. Classroom Performance- 15%
- Includes conduct and deportment, having all materials for class, participation in class discussions/activities/physical fitness, straightening up the classroom, and properly performing formation procedures.
E. Uniform Inspection- 15%
- Wearing the designated uniform correctly and completely on uniform day and participating in scheduled formations. Complete and timely turn-in of the uniform will receive the evaluation.
F. School Support & Community Service- 10%
- Cadets performing JROTC missions for the school and in the community will receive this evaluation.
Note: During the 2nd Semester, Uniform Inspection is reduced to 10% and the category of Physical Fitness Test is added with the value of 5%.
